Maine Pond Hockey Classic 2026

Youth League of Maine Pond Hockey

A Youth Pond Hockey Tournament Built for Fun

2025 marked the first-ever Youth Pond Hockey Classic, letting boys and girls swap sneakers for blades and feel the festival vibe that makes MPHC the flagship Maine pond hockey tournament for adults.

In 2026 the youth event grows into its own two-day showcase (Feb 13-14) at the brand-new Camp Tracy venue. A great way for hockey players to kickoff their February School Vacation.

The heart of the youth pond hockey tournament remains the same as the adult tournament: fast shifts, fresh air, and a chance to hoist a mini stick-trophy with friends.

 players (subs included).

Swim Lessons

Team fee

$250—no per-player charges. Coaches/parents organize the roster and cover the entry together.

Swim Lessons

Affordable by design

The price (per player) matches a single winter practice slot at many indoor rinks, making outdoor play accessible to local clubs.

Officials, Safety & Sportsmanship

Games run with an off-ice volunteer scorekeeper; players self-officiate minor stick infractions, mirroring adult honor rules.  Zero tolerance for arguing with officials keeps coaching boxes calm and the focus on fun. Basic adult rules apply—no checking, no slap-shots above the knee, helmets required, and matching jerseys preferred.

Coach & Manager Responsibilities

Coach & Manager Responsibilities

The adult in charge acts as the single point of contact with tourney staff: verifying waivers, monitoring sportsmanship, and ensuring players clear half-ice after whistles. Quick tip: assign one parent the “snack-runner” role so the bench stays hydrated and happy.
