Tournament Division Information
Open Division:
The Open Division is the most competitive division with college and advanced high school level players. The Open Division is open to men and women age 18 and older. You can have up to seven players on a team, but only four players on the ice at a time. Each team is guaranteed three round-robin games (weather permitting) to determine elimination play seeding (all teams advance to playoff bracket). Winners of the Open Division will receive the our coveted Maine Pond Hockey Classic Champion Trophy, a free registration for the 2014 U.S. Pond Hockey Championships, and each player will receive a Champion Sweatshirt.
40+ Division:
The 40+ division is for men and women age 40 and older. You can have up to seven players on a team, but only four players on the ice at a time. Each team is guaranteed three round-robin games (weather permitting) to determine playoff seeding (all teams advance to playoff bracket). Winners of the 40+ Division will receive the our coveted Maine Pond Hockey Classic Champion Trophy, team prize pack, and each player will receive a Champion Sweatshirt.
Women’s Division:
The women’s division is open to women 18 and older. You can have up to seven players on a team, but only four players on the ice at a time. Each team is guaranteed three round-robin games (weather permitting) to determine playoff seeding (all teams advance to playoff bracket). Recreational Division:
The recreational Division is for those looking for lighter competition, and is open to men and women age 18 or older. You can have up to seven players on a team, but only four players on the ice at a time. Each team is guaranteed three round-robin games (weather permitting) to determine playoff seeding (all teams advance to playoff bracket). Winners of the Recreational Division will receive the our coveted Maine Pond Hockey Classic Champion Trophy, team prize pack, and each player will receive a Champion Sweatshirt.
* Depending on the number of teams that signup for the 40+ and Recreation Divisions, consolidations of divisions may need to occur. Every effort will be made to place teams in appropriate groupings based on your team level of play.
